My Recovery Story!

Hey everyone!

I have absolutely loved sharing this podcast with you. Over the past six weeks, I've had the pleasure of speaking with eating disorder professionals and recovery warriors from across the world. It has been such exciting project for me, and I have been loving your engagement, comments, and interest in this issue. Together, we are raising awareness and understanding about a very serious issue, so thank you for your support!!

This week, instead of interviewing a guest, I will be sharing my own recovery story. Serving as the official interviewer for this episode is Josephine Hansen— my host sister and my guest from the "ED Recovery in Denmark" episode. A huge shout out to Josie for her vulnerability in sharing her story, and for her encouragement of me doing the same!

Many of you know that eating disorder advocacy is one of my greatest passions, and it's one of the biggest reasons why I started the Bend Oregon NEDA Walk in 2016 and the Life with Color podcast in the first place!! Here are a few of my favorite moments as a coordinator and volunteer with the National Eating Disorder Association! :)

I feel so thankful to be in eating disorder recovery, and to have a platform where I can help raise awareness for this cause. If you or someone you know is struggling with an eating disorder, know that you are not alone, and that help is available. I hope by sharing my story, I can send the message that recovery is possible, and it's worth fighting for. Living with an eating disorder is like living in a world of darkness; but life in recovery? It's a world full of opportunity, life, and color. <3
